Third Annual PCRBA/CSNFA Sale
and Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Sale starts at 1:00 p.m. (cattle may be viewed from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
It is time once again to hold our annual sale of sheep and cattle and to celebrate our herding heritage and tradition. I hope
everyone has made it through the drought with minimal difficulty and you and your stock are doing well. We are planning to
have a good sale this year so please make plans to attend.
In
an effort to improve the sale I (remember ya’ll put me over this) am making a few changes in order to improve the sale
and it’s quality. Having spoken with numerous other breed associations and auctions I have reached what I hope will
be decisions that enhance the program and will benefit all of us.
(1)
We will limit the number of cattle to no more than 45 head with no one selling more than 5 head.
(2) Consignments
are first come first served.
(3) We will have a consignment book with photos of the cattle to be offered.
(4)
All cattle must be in good physical shape and must be registered.
(5) We are going to have a program with advertisements
sold by the members of the organizations. This will help raise funds for the sale. Please see the back of this letter.
Some of you may be wondering what CSNFA stands for and I will
now explain.
The Coastal South Native Flock Alliance was founded 07 April, 2007 by a group of dedicated native sheep producers in order
to promote and protect our Gulf Coast Native Sheep. Outside pressures and the need to preserve our cultural integrity necessitated
the formation of such a group and we are proud that the original families that have held these flocks for generations have
taken the lead to protect our flocks integrity and heritage.
Uncle
Charlie Carter suggested that each producer, if so inclined, would donate one calf to the association and what it brought
would be used to put us in better financial shape. He and I both plan to do so and encourage others to do so as well.
We will be running the concession stand this year and are calling for volunteers.

We ask that anyone
with special crafts such as Mr. Amason”s ox yokes would please contact us and booth space will be provided. Jams, jellies,

Ad prices for the program will be
according to size of ad placed. Business card ads will be $20.00; 1/4 page will be $30.00; ½ page will be $45.00; and, full
page ads will be $85.00. Ads can come from a number of different categories. You can advertise your farm, complete with
photos of cattle, sheep, children, wife and dog. You can advertise your business. Everyone can sell ads to their banks,
feed dealers, insurance agent, car/truck dealer, or any one with whom you do business.
These ads must be submitted by March 1, 2008 in order for them
to make the printing deadline. If you have the information and photos you want on your ad just mail them to Lynda Jarrell,

We want to have a really nice program and advertise the cattle
and sheep to everyone picking up a program book. Please tell your advertisers that these ads will be tax deductible under
the category of advertisement. A copy of the program with a receipt for their ad price will be sent to every advertiser.
